The world number one has managed to get past over the world number three in befitting battle. This is the longest battle in Wimbledon final ever, which went on for 4 hour and 57 minutes.

The match was decided in the final set tie breaker for the first time in the history, such was intensity of the match. Roger Federer came all guns blazing towards Djokovic from the word go but could hold on to the opportunities he got in middle. Finally Djokovic manages to win with 7-6(5), 1-6, 7-6(4), 4-6, 13-12(3). All sets won by Djokovic were decided in the tie breaker.

Even at the age of 37, Roger played his best game to give tough fight to Novak. His serves were at their best, even probably the best returner of the game could not return Roger's serves. Such high quality game brought Federer two match points in the Fourth set but he could not hold on to it. Finally Djokovic does what he always does best, he pushed Roger to his limits who ultimately bowed down in front of World number one.
